This looks like a strong buy-low opportunity on Guaraní, who come into this fixture with the best away record in the Paraguayan top flight. They’ve won 7, drawn 1, and lost just 1 of their 9 away matches this season, conceding only four goals and keeping six clean sheets in the process. This away form is no recent fluke either — extending back to last season, Guaraní have lost just one of their last 16 league games on the road. That single defeat came against Ameliano in early March, a match that fell during a brutal stretch of fixture congestion, being their third game in the space of nine days due to Copa Sudamericana commitments.
That same Copa scheduling has had an impact on their recent league form, with two losses in their last two league outings. However, the context is important. One of those came against Cerro Porteño, a top-tier side, and the other at home to Ameliano just three days after a draining Copa trip to Argentina. In that game, Guaraní went 0-2 down within four minutes and never recovered, opting to sub off several key players early as it slipped away. With a full week of rest behind them now and no Copa distractions, they should be fully focused and re-energised for league action — especially with the Apertura title still within reach. Depending on Libertad’s result against Olimpia, Guaraní could find themselves in a position to make up crucial ground in the standings. Regardless if the title is a bit too far out of reach, they will still be keen to finish the Apertura phase with as many points as possible in order to strengthen their chances at Copa qualification come the end of the season, and with no Copa game in the few days after this we do not expect Guarani to rotate here.
Meanwhile, Tembetary remain second from bottom, with just three wins from 19 league games. All three victories were narrow 1-0 wins, two against General Caballero (one aided by an early red card), and one over Ameliano. The chances of another 1-0 steal here feel slim. Guaraní have failed to score in just 2 of 9 away games this season and have the league’s best defensive record away from home, making them well-equipped to shut down a limited Tembetary attack. Expect a response from Guaraní and a professional performance from a side that has travelled well for more than a year. Taking them on the draw no bet line offers value at a spot where motivation, rest, and quality are all in their favour. This price has drifted out close to evens this morning, and we expect it to shorten back close to around the 1.70 mark as limits increase and as kick off nears.
