Djere Digs In: Serbian Veteran Climbs several Spots

Beginning the week's biggest movers is Serbia’s Laslo Djere, who jumped nine spots from 80 to 71 ATP thanks to a solid showing in Barcelona. Coming through qualifying, Djere beat Arthur Rinderknech (No. 76) in the first round before falling to the top seed, Carlos Alcaraz in the second. It was a tough draw, but Djere’s performance earned him valuable points and momentum as he looks to reestablish himself inside the top 50 once again.

Marozsan Makes Moves: Hungarian Rocket Soars 19 Spots

Next, the biggest jump of the week comes from Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan, who soared 19 spots  from 77 to 58 ATP thanks to a stellar run to the semifinals in Munich. The 25-year-old was electric all week, knocking out 4th seed Ugo Humbert (No. 22) in straight sets and dispatching Zizou Bergs (No. 50) before eventually falling to Alexander Zverev (No. 3 ATP). It was a great run for Marozsan, who’s showing he can mix it with the best on clay. Don’t sleep on him, he’s building real momentum heading into the summer.

Zverev Strikes Back: Reclaims World No. 2

Speaking of consistency, Alexander Zverev reminded everyone why he's a perennial powerhouse. After briefly losing his No. 2 spot to Alcaraz, Zverev took it right back with a title-winning run in Munich. The German dropped just one set all week (against No. 34 ATP Tallon Griekspoor) and followed that with commanding wins over Marozsan (No. 58 ATP) and Ben Shelton (No. 15  ATP). This marks his third Munich title and a clear signal that he's locked in heading into the Masters 1000.

Shelton Steps Up: American Hits Career-High on clay

Though he fell short in the Munich final, Ben Shelton still made a major move, climbing two spots from 15th to 13th, a career-high. The 22-year-old American had to work hard through a tough draw, squeezing past Luciano Darderi (No. 46 ATP) and outlasting Francisco Cerundolo (No. 21 ATP) in a three-set battle before running into the Zverev (No. 3 ATP) buzzsaw. Shelton’s run proves he’s more than just a hard-court talent, his clay game is coming along nicely, and his confidence is clearly growing.

Rune Reborn: Danish Star Cracks Top 10 Again

After months floating just outside the elite, Holger Rune is officially back in the ATP Top 10, rising four spots  from 13 to 9 ATP this week. His finalist run at the Barcelona ATP 500 saw him take out Casper Ruud (No. 15 ATP) and Karen Khachanov (No. 25 ATP), only dropping a single set en route to the final, where he was stopped by none other than Carlos Alcaraz (No. 2 ATP. At just 21, Rune’s game is maturing quickly, and this return to form has him looking more dangerous than ever. Expect him to stick around the top tier this time.

Final Thoughts

This week’s ATP movement showed just how deep the talent pool is on the tour right now. Veterans like Zverev and Djere reminded us of their staying power, while rising stars like Rune, Marozsan, and Shelton staked their claims to the next generation’s throne. With Roland Garros just around the corner, expect the rankings to keep shaking up.

The clay season is well and truly heating up.
